Register as an expert

Sea Change Australia welcomes experts from research, industry and local communities to join our network and help answer questions from the seafood sector.

Are you a climate or fisheries expert, either through formal training or hands-on experience? If you have five or more years of experience in the field of fisheries, aquaculture, or climate science, or if you hold a position of leadership in your community in relation to fisheries, we’d love to hear from you.

By registering as an expert, you’ll join the Sea Change Australia Expert Network to support knowledge exchange, strengthen communities of practice and help make climate information more accessible and useful for the seafood sector. Expert profiles are featured on the Sea Change Australia website, offering visibility and new connections across the sector.

How it works

Guidelines and definition of expert

Sea Change Australia is focused on sharing knowledge – and connecting expert knowledge to people who have questions. In this project, ‘experts’ are not just the folks formally trained in science, but also people who have demonstrated experience in the seafood sector and/or key knowledge of local places, circumstances and practices.

To register to become an Expert with Sea Change Australia, you should meet at least ONE of the following:

  • Masters or PhD
  • 5 years+ experience in a research or practitioner capacity
  • Recognised by your peer community/sector as an authority or expert (e.g. Indigenous Knowledge holder).
