I’m a marine ecologist working at IMAS, and the Director of the Centre for Marine Socioecology, also at UTAS. My research seeks to understand the impact of climate change on our oceans, and how we can work in collaborative ways with industry, government and others to develop adaptation options for fisheries and aquaculture. I lead the national citizen science initiative Redmap Australia (www.redmap.org.au), and was a Lead Author for the most recent Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC) AR6 report. I have a strong passion for science communication and engagement, and love throwing a line in for calamari with my two teenagers.
