Sam Gordon has spent more than thirty years building businesses and advocating for Australia’s seafood industry. As founder of Blue Harvest and co-founder of South Coast Mariculture, he has operated across the full supply chain — from offshore marine leases to major retail partnerships with Coles, Woolworths and Costco.
In 2025 he stepped back from executive leadership to focus on what he believes is the defining challenge for the industry: adapting to climate change while building commercially viable pathways for new marine food and ingredient systems.
His advisory work draws on deep experience in commercialisation — including leading Australia’s first dedicated aquaculture sales and marketing agency to $55M revenue — stakeholder engagement, and regulatory navigation. His career has included industry spokesperson roles, national leadership programs, and board-level governance across peak seafood bodies. He is a Churchill Fellow (1998).
He now works with research organisations, investors, and industry bodies translating blue economy innovation into commercial reality.
