I currently work as an aquaculture scientist but also worked in a land-based hatchery for many years growing oysters and mussels. The aim of my research is to understand how shellfish respond to climate change, with a focus on assisting the aquaculture industry with adaptation. For example, breeding heat tolerant mussels is a current research priority. I work in a knowledge broker capacity, aiming to connect a wide range of stakeholders to tackle the problems we are facing together.
