A fisheries ecologist by training, I have worked for the past 20 years in areas of fisheries system sustainability and contributions to nutrition security in developing countries. In this time I have worked in Africa, Asia and the Pacific, but in recent years have focused on establishing a research program in Timor-Leste. I lead research projects and programs focused on sustainable production, nutrition-sensitive management, locally-led climate adaptation and strengthening fisheries management.
