I have been working in seafood food safety since 2020. My main focus has been on marine biotoxins in seafood, particularly researching options for risk management of the recurrent toxic blooms that occur in Tasmania across multiple seafood species. I have also worked on microbial pathogens, vibrio and viruses. I work closely with industry and government, and am active of many national panels and advisory committees. I lead the national program SafeFish (safefish.com.au).
