Climate Toolbox

Sea Change Australia aims to facilitate access to relevant climate information and improve knowledge exchange between researchers, managers, and industry.

Our Climate Toolbox gives you access to the latest climate information tailored to the fisheries and aquaculture sectors in Australia. You can explore relevant information, share local observations of climate impacts, contribute your own adaptation stories, and find tools and resources suited to your needs.

Access climate information

Stay informed, including state-based Climate Report Cards, FRDC climate briefings, and insights into Indigenous Knowledge and leadership.

Share your knowledge

Across the sector, people are already adapting, by shifting practices, target species, fishing grounds, or attitudes toward climate change. Sea Change Australia values this on-the-ground knowledge and invites you to share your observations.

Find tools and resources

Access summaries or key tools and frameworks used around the world to support climate risk assessment and adaptation planning in fisheries and aquaculture. A simple filter function will help you identify the most relevant resources for your context.

Learning networks

The learning networks component of the Sea Change Australia project is in active development. Please check back soon.

Coping with change

Many fishers, aquaculture operators, resource managers and even researchers working on climate change issues, can experience a range of feelings regarding the extensive changes that are occurring. You can find some resources on coping with change in our toolbox or connect with the wonderful Stay Afloat team – this is a group dedicated to providing support for the Australian Seafood Industry.
