Access climate information

There is extensive climate information available online, but it’s not always easy to find content that is relevant and tailored to the fisheries and aquaculture sectors.

This toolbox brings together key resources to help you stay informed, including state-based Climate Report Cards, FRDC climate briefings, and insights into Indigenous Knowledge and leadership.

State based Climate Report Cards

Sea Change Australia has produced state-based climate report cards in collaboration with CSIRO that are specifically tailored to the interests of fisheries and aquaculture. Explore observed sea surface temperature, forecasted conditions, or projected change in your area.

FRDC Climate Briefings

The Fisheries Research and Development Corporation (FRDC) hosts regular national fisheries climate outlook briefings, especially during summer periods. These briefings provide an opportunity for seafood producers, businesses, and managers to prepare and adapt for climate impacts.

Indigenous Knowledge and Leadership

Indigenous leadership of climate-related research and adaptation is enabling Indigenous Australians to exercise their rights in managing and monitoring Sea Country. Explore projects, publications, stories and other information that relates to Indigenous Knowledge and leadership for marine climate change in Australia.
